Bryan J Benway, 80 of Worcester died Friday December 10, 2021 at the Blaire House of Worcester. Born in Washington DC, Bryan was a graduate of Worcester State College and attended WPI. He worked as Mechanical Engineer for the Morgan Construction Co, Jamesbury Co. and the Metso Co. retiring in 2004. Bryan also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for many years.
After retirement, Bryan and Claire bought a truck and fifth wheel trailer and traveled throughout the country for 10 years before settling down in Florida for the last few years. Bryan was a kind, loving husband, and father. He was always willing to help others when he could. Bryan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bryan leaves his beloved wife of 34 years, Claire (Turner) Benway, three daughters, Deborah Dilling, Cheryl D’Errico, Paula Courtemanche, and one son Bryan Benway Jr, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, his brother, David Benway, his stepdaughters, Laurie Barthelmes, Christine Peters and Corinne Corriveau. Bryan was predeceased by his mother and father Blanche and Norris Benway, his brother, Charles Benway and his sisters, Anna Tetreault and Dana Smyer.
A celebration of life service for Bryan will be held at a later date for the family. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605 is privileged to serve the Benway family.
