Carine Mastrocola

Carine (Valente) Mastrocola, 72, of Falmouth formerly of Worcester, born on January 3, 1949, daughter of the late Mauro and Alice (Gokmant) Valente, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Friday, November 19, 2021 after a tragic accident with her loving daughters and husband by her side.

Carine grew up in Worcester and lived there most of her life until moving to Falmouth in 2017. Carine graduated from Commerce High School. After high school she worked as a cosmetic associate for Este Lauder many years at Whites, Jordan Marsh and Cherry & Webb department stores. But with her love of music she found herself moonlighting as a DJ at the famous El Morocco restaurant.

Carine enjoyed decorating her home for every season and all occasions. She also loved planting flowers all around her home, the brighter the better. She would talk about what needed to be planted and when, and was proud of every room her home which had flower arrangements that she designed herself. 

Carine is survived by her husband Mario Mastrocola; her two daughters; Tina vonCzoernig and husband Jay of Wayne, PA; Maria Mastrocola and husband Greg Falta of East Bridgewater; two adored and cherished grandchildren Luc and Ella vonCzoernig; two brothers, Gerald Valente of New York and companion AnneMarie Jarvey and Paul Valente and his wife Marie of Shrewsbury; two nieces, Melissa Lokko and Jennifer Valente. She was predeceased by her sister, Lisa Valente-Amoroso.

A period of calling hours for Carine will be held on Friday, December 3rd from 3-5 with her funeral service to follow at 5 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Burial will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters, 6520 N.
