Carol A. Corso

Carol A. (Barrette) Corso, 76, of Rochdale, formerly of Worcester, passed way in the comfort of her home on Monday morning, July 1, 2019.  Her loving husband, Frank A. Corso, predeceased her in August 2001.

Carol is survived by her nine children, Frank C. Corso of Millbury, Deborah A. Clark of Worcester, Michael J. Corso and his significant other Sherry of Charlton, Stephen A. Corso, Sr. and his wife Karen of Worcester, Anthony F. Corso of Rochdale, Joseph V. Corso and his wife Renee of Douglas, John M Corso, Christopher J. Corso, and James J. Corso, all of Rochdale; twenty-four grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; and her aunt, Ida Bialecki of Millbury.  She was predeceased by her dear friend and aunt, Corrine Paquette, who was like a second mother to Carol’s children and grandchildren.  Carol was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Alfred and Genevieve (Paquette) Barrette, and attended Worcester public schools.  She lived in Worcester for most of her life, before moving to Rochdale in 2010.

Carol was a devoted and loving spouse and mother; having grown up as an only child, she and Frank dedicated themselves to their children and to one another; sharing their belief that there is nothing greater than the love of family.  She enjoyed holidays, especially Halloween, playing BINGO, and “The Wonder of It All”.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, July 5, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral will be on Saturday, July 6, departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. in procession to a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester.  Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery.
