Carol A. Lamusta, 87, of Lynnfield, Ma, passed away on February 15 peacefully within her home. Carol was the daughter of the late Rita (Turcotte) Hibbard. Three beloved siblings predeceased her; Edwin Hibbard, Joan A. Trottier, and Richard Hibbard.
Carol leaves her husband, Richard D. Lamusta; two stepsons, Richard Lamusta and Stephen Lamusta, both of Lynnfield, Ma. She was predeceased by another stepson, Mark Lamusta. Life at her Lynnfield home is hallmarked with the memory of Carol’s favorite puppy, Gigi, and the growing entourage of nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren whom she adored.
Carol’s in-laws Milton Trottier of Grafton, Ma; Jean Hibbard of Worcester, Ma; and Janice Santora and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury, Ma; were great supports in her life. Carol loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews: Joan C. Trottier and her husband Richard Walendziak of Portsmouth, RI; Nancy Trottier-Martin and her husband Michael Martin of Millbury, Ma; Glen Trottier of Grafton, Ma; and Lauren Hibbard of Worcester, Ma. Their families provided much joy in her life and they all loved her famous antipasto.
In her formative years, Carol graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, Ma, and later followed the noble career path of nursing. She earned her pin from Worcester Memorial Hospital and passed the state board exams. It did not take long for Carol to embrace her role as
a pediatric nurse working alongside Dr. Smith. She loved her pediatric patients and always strived to get the little ones happy and healthy again.
Carol met her husband, Richard, of 58 years, at a last-minute dinner party and the rest is history. Between Lynnfield, Worcester, Florida, and as far as France and North Africa, Carol lived a fun and adventurous life. She loved to travel with her beloved husband Richard, as well as a tight-knit circle of long-time friends.
