It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a wonderful young woman Carolann R Dudas, 21 years of age, on April 11, 2021 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She joins in heaven, her grandparents Louis Sr. and Carol Dudas, her father Dwaine Thames Sr., and brother Ryan Thames who predeceased her
Carolann was born in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Christine M. Dudas and the late Dwaine Thames Sr. At the age of eight, Carolann and her family moved to Worcester where she has lived ever since.
With a zest for life and love of family, Carolann was just getting her life started. She was a member of the Next Level Church, loved going to Hampton Beach and walking the boardwalk, going to Six-Flags, out to eat and shopping. She was a hard worker at Heywood Hospital, had a huge heart, loved to help people, loved music, taking pictures, and had an exceptional sense of humor; a “Goofball” always joking. She left this world doing what she loved, driving around in her new car. The world is a better place because she was in it.
Carolann is survived by her devoted mother and best friend, Christine M. Hutchinson, two brothers, Justin M. Dudas of Worcester, and Dwaine Thames Jr., of Columbus Ohio; her sister-in-law Alliah Speight, two nephews who loved being around their auntie, Justin “Baby Jay” and Quentin, and her best friend Alba along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, April 16th, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral service will be held SUNDAY, April 18th at 1 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
