Carolina A. (Ciullo) Venti, 93 of Leominster, formerly a longtime resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at home.
Carolina was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Carolina (Palermo) Ciullo. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School, Class of 1946. Carolina worked as a seamstress at R.J Toomey Apparel for many years and later as a cafeteria aide at Roosevelt Elementary School where she enjoyed engaging with the children. A gentle, unpretentious soul, she was a diligent homemaker and an expert cookie baker for any and all occasions. Ballroom dancing with her husband, Mario, filled her retirement years as well as enjoying innumerable days with her grandchildren. Socializing with family was her greatest joy.
Carolina’s husband of 51 years, Mario R. Venti passed away on April 1, 2002. She is survived by two sons, Robert Venti and his wife Virginia of Leominster with whom she lived and Paul Venti and his husband John Miller, Jr. of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Nicholas Venti of Leverett, MA and Vanessa Venti and her husband Tristan Cunha of Somerville; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by five brothers, Anthony, Joseph, John, Albert, and James Ciullo; two sisters, Milinda Troio and Helen Arnieri.
Services for Carolina will be held privately. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
