Charles M. “Charlie” King, 85, of Worcester, died unexpectedly on Tuesday July 2, 2019. Charlie leaves his wife Frances A. (Mastrogiovanni) King of Worcester, and a son Michael of Grafton. Charles also leaves his brothers, Keith and Richard King, and four sisters, Bonney, Margie, Christle and Dorothy. Charlie was born in Worcester son of the late Charles M. King Sr and Beatrice (Myott) King and lived in Worcester most of his life. He attended Auburn High School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army.
Charlie worked for over 50 years for the Local 107 Carpenters Union and for several Contractors in the Worcester Area. He was a Charter member of the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks, and a long time member of the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post #279. Charlie was a quiet man who loved being with his wife and son and family. He was an excellent pool player and belonged to several leagues. Charlie will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Charlie will be held on Wednesday July 10 at 11:30AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30AM in the funeral home.
