Charles Sonnier

Charles Sonnier 67 of Spencer died Saturday March 26, 2022 at home after a brief illness. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Tonis and Anne (Gabriela) Sonner. He leaves his beloved wife, Lynn (Carruthers) Sonnier, his son Alex and his daughter Eve. He was predeceased by his two brothers Francis and Olan Sonnier and his two sisters Maureen Smith and Mary Bourque. Charles was a retired Army Sergeant serving his country in the regular Army and then the Army National Guard, Company B of the 181 Infantry Battalion retiring in 2017. During his service to his country, Charles was deployed overseas and to many areas of the country when called and served proudly in his position of Supply Specialist. Charles will be remembered locally for his many acts of kindness and generosity in which he gave of his time and talents to many. Charles was an example of a proud American and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Calling hours for Charles will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantations St. Worcester, Ma 01605 from 1-3pm with the Military Honors Ceremony to be held at 3pm.
