Christopher J. Sebring, 36, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 31, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at UMass Hospital in Worcester.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Mary S. ( DiGiacomo ) Sebring of Shrewsbury, and Stephen H. Sebring of Worcester; his brother Andrew M. Sebring and his wife Jessica of Paxton, and their children, Christopher's adored nieces and nephew, Zoe, Andie, and Sam; three uncles, Louie DiGiacomo, Gino DiGiacomo, David Sebring and his wife Robin; and several cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Agata and Giovanni Di Giacomo; his paternal grandparents, Ida and Harold Sebring; and his uncle, Michael F. Sebring.
Christopher was born in Worcester, and has lived here most of his life. He attended St. John's High School and graduated from Shrewsbury High School. He was a two sport athlete at both schools, where he played basketball and baseball. Following graduation, he served his nation proudly in the United States Navy.
Christopher was a talented carpenter and worked for many years with the New England Carpenters' Union Local 336. He used his talents as a woodworker, not only in new construction, but as a restoration artist as well.
Christopher was a proud American. He loved the Celtics and Red Sox, and attended many of these sporting events with his family. He enjoyed music and "the wonder of it all;" but his greatest joy was spending time with cherished members of his family. He will forever be remembered as a kind and compassionate gentle soul.
Calling Hours for Christopher will be on Friday, September 7, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be on Saturday, September 8, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester, MA, Father John Madden will be the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum.
