Colin Brown, aged 81, of Shrewsbury, MA, passed away peacefully Monday, October 14, 2024, at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 17, 1943, in Saluda, South Carolina, son of the late James Brown and Doris (Rollins) Belt.

"Carl" as he was called by family and friends accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age. He was a devoted giver of his time, talents and treasures. He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 4 years from December 1962 to December 1966.

In April 1967, Carl and Martha Rowe were united in Holy Matrimony for 10 years. One child was born in 1971, Candice.

Carl worked for RJ Reynolds Tobacco company over 20 years. He excelled in his sales position and was promoted to a division manager position. He had a strong work ethic. Carl had a great sense of humor, and no one was a stranger after meeting him.

Years after he retired from his job, he moved to Massachusetts to be closer to his daughter and her family. He loved his grandchildren and provided "before" and "after" school care for them when they were young. Carl was a 10-year cancer survivor.

To celebrate his life and legacy, Carl leaves his beloved daughter Candice Hardiman (Travis), Grandchildren: Justin Hardiman and Jordan Hardiman, residents of Virginia Beach, VA. Brothers: Levonia Belt (Catherine), of Phoenix Arizona, Ronald Brown (Nora), St. Louis, MO. and a beloved host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel are honored to assist the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Colin’s memory to Envision Lead Grow, for girls with dreams to become women with vision. Envision Lead Grow
