Colleen M. (Rafferty) Stowell, 53, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her sister’s home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, surrounded by loving family.
Colleen is survived by her loving family including, a daughter, Tiffany Antonucci and her husband Jonathan of Raynham, and their children, Hadley and Reagan Antonucci and a soon to be born grandson, who lovingly refer to her as “Mimi Coco”; a son, Timothy Stowell of Millbury; two sisters, Carrie Robertson and her husband Ron of Boynton Beach, FL and Christine Anderson of Plymouth; her former husband and friend, Brian W. Stowell of Millbury; nieces; nephews; several close girl friends; and her companion, Craig Wagenhoffer of Whittinsville. Colleen was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Rafferty in June 2008, and Stephen Rafferty in March 2021. Colleen was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Arthur and Eileen T. (Flynn) Rafferty, and lived here most of her life, and graduated from Holy Name High School.
Colleen worked as a contractor and claims consultant for Catalyst Heath Insurance, having previously worked for the Fallon Healthcare Plan, now Reliant Medical. She had also spent several years as a teacher’s aide in the Millbury school system.
For “Mimi Coco”, a loving name given by her grandchildren, life was all about helping others and being with her family. She loved going to Hampton Beach, spoiling her grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. She will long be remembered as a selfless and giving person, who had a great sense of humor and a smile that would light up the world on the darkest of days, revealing her tender and loving soul. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
