Connie (Moise) Gardella

September 24, 1935 — November 11, 2022

Constance “Connie” (Moise) Gardella, 87, a lifelong Worcester resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11th, 2022.

Connie was born a daughter of Walter and Margaret (Krukonis) Moise, living all her life in Worcester.  Connie married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” W. Gardella, in 1956. They then settled in the Rice Square section of Worcester and were happily married until Bob passed away in 2007.  Connie excelled in school and prior to raising a family worked as an accountant for the former Heywood Ford Company.

Connie is survived by her five children: Michael A. Gardella and his wife Susan of Worcester, Robert W. Gardella, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Biddeford Maine, Karen M. Gardella of Framingham, Nancy J. Olmez of Lynnwood Washington and Stephen J. Gardella and his wife Stacey of Shoreline Washington; six grandchildren: Michael, Christina, Stacey, Robert, William and Broden; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia M. Warren of Meridith New Hampshire and Susan E. June of Uncasville Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The matriarch of her family, Connie’s husband and children always came first no matter what.  She made sure her family was well cared for, had all the opportunities and successes of education, and provided a home filled with love and support.

Connie made her home warm and welcoming, and hosted many annual holiday gatherings with extended family.  When raising her children, Connie and her husband loved going on many vacations including annual trips to Lake George in New York or Hampton Beach and other destinations including Niagara Falls, Florida and Myrtle beach.  Upon Bob’s retirement, they travelled the country together on bus tours to places like Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Nashville, Branson and spent time in Hawaii.  She was an avid reader and loved cooking, baking, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, watching a wide variety of TV shows, and catching an occasional show at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and was a devout Catholic, attending mass regularly there for decades.
