Craig A Furtado

On Friday, August 9th, 2024, the Lord came to Craig A Furtado, 48, and said, "take my hand good and faithful servant" and Craig took the Lord's hand and left this world to heaven after experiencing an unexpected medical incident. 

Craig was born on July 14, 1976, in Boston, he was a lifelong resident in Charlton. Craig was the son of Arthur Furtado, Jr. and Cheri M. (Smith) Furtado. Raised in Charlton, He graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational High School with a focus on carpentry and drafting. Craig then founded Arrow Emergency Services and began a life, as a self-employed contractor. 

 He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Cheri of Charlton; his sister, Tammy Berthiaume and her husband Jeffery of Leicester; two nieces, he cherished and found so much joy with Carey and Rachel; his dog and best friend “Bella”; his Aunt and Uncle Eileen and Gene McGuinness; his many friends, too many to name were also “family” to him.

 A kind and faith filled soul, with an exceptionally huge personality who could light up any room as he entered, loved to help, come to the aid of anyone who needed or asked for assistance. Craig was extremely mechanical and resourceful, he could construct any structure, fix anything, work for or with anyone and put others needs before his own. In his youth, Craig was extremely curious and needed to understand how things worked and would breakdown and rebuild items. He was a man that you could trust and count on, he was always there to help his parents, his friends or anyone who needed a hand. He notably found joy working with his dad on home and car projects, cooking for friends, and offering a helping hand wherever he could. He will be greatly missed by all. 

 A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, August 15th from 4 pm to 7 pm followed by a prayer service at 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A celebration of life will be celebrated, Sunday August 18th at 1pm in the Charlton Baptist Church, 50 Hammond Hill Rd, Charlton, In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances can be made to the Craig Furtado scholarship fund, care of Bay Path Regional Vocational high school, 57 Old Muggett Hill Rd, Charlton.
