Crisilda Domenech, 87, of Northborough, MA, passed away April 26, 2022, at Christopher House in Worcester, MA.
Born September 23, 1934, in Aguada, Puerto Rico, Crisilda (Cris) was the daughter of Eduardo and Juana (Nunez) Domenech. Cris was a loving mother to Elis Sanchez-O’Shea (Sean O'Shea) and Hermes E. Sanchez (Mireya Gutierrez); devoted grandmother to Conor, Ian, Hermes, and Alexia. She leaves behind four siblings, Gloria, Minerva, Ada, and Eduardo. Her family grew to include the O'Shea's. She was appreciative for Patrick and Cindy O'Shea's embrace of her and her family into their fold.
Cris lived in love and grace, shaped by her Puerto Rico and NYC experiences. Cris's endeavors were many, some of which included Radiology Technician and Flight Attendant for Mohawk Airlines and Carib Air in New York and Puerto Rico. Cris was one of the first women to lead a ground crew team for a commercial airline, a trailblazer in her time. Cris strived to improve the lives of her children, pursuing and becoming a teacher and working as an office administrator, among other roles.
Cris loved to travel. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, and attending the theater. She was stylish and cultured. She loved spending time with her children and family. She was open and welcoming to all and always treated everyone with love and respect.
Cris’s most cherished role was being a mother and a grandmother- roles she treasured above all else. Her primary focus throughout her life was being a supportive, loving mother to her children. Her love and dedication to her role as a mother for her children, their happiness and success is to this day her legacy.
The service for Crisilda was held with her immediate family at her bedside before her passing. The celebration of her life will be held in Puerto Rico at a later date.
The Sanchez-O'Shea and Sanchez-Gutierrez families extend their gratitude and love to the staff at Christopher House for the dedication, care and love they provided to Cris and her family.
