Danette R Kentel

Danette Rae Kentel 63 of Worcester died unexpectedly at home on Saturday July 31, 2021.  Born in San Antonio TX, she was the daughter of the late James and Gail (Barry) Shultz. 

Danette was a longtime resident of the city and was married to the love of her life Steve Kentel for 23 years.  Besides her husband, Danette leaves two daughters, Sommerly Borbone and Arielle Flagg, and four grandchildren, Jeffery, Alexis, Payton, and Sophie. 

Danette loved her home, her gardens and her faithful dog Appleton, who never left her side.  Danette’s deep faith in Jesus, kept her going through the many years and health conditions that she struggled with. She will be remembered for fighting a good fight, running the race God set before her and keeping her faith till the moment she was called home by her Lord and Savior.  Danette will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral services for Danette will be held on Sunday August 8, 2021 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605.  Calling hours will be from 1-3pm with a prayer service to begin a 3pm.
