Daniel A. Buduo, 93, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Worcester. His wife, Rosemarie (Magro) Buduo predeceased him in April 2008.
Dan is survived by a son, Joseph A. Buduo; a granddaughter, Alexandra Rose Buduo; a brother, Harold Buduo, all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Purcell. He was born in Cleveland, son of the late, Antonio and Stacia (Kay) Buduo. Dan graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and upon graduation he served his nation proudly in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict.
Dan graduated from Fitchburg State University with both a bachelors and master's degree in graphics and education. He earned his degrees while working full-time at the former Harrington-Richardson Arms Company in Worcester. Dan was a graphic arts teacher in the Natick public school system for many years before retiring in the mid 1980’s. Not being one to slow down, Dan worked in his retirement at Cyprian Keys Golf Club for several years.
He was a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary Church, The Sons of Italy in America, and The Knights of Columbus.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, October 28, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 29 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
