Daniel J. Lizotte

Daniel J. Lizotte, 60, of Millbury, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center. 

As a general contractor, Danny was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to bring projects to life. He approached every job with professionalism and a deep knowledge of the construction trade, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Danny was not defined solely by his career; he was a loving husband to Doreen M. (Bandilla) Lizotte and a cherished family man. His love for cooking, hiking, and the outdoors reflected his vibrant spirit and zest for life. He had a particular fondness for history, often immersing himself in videos and discussions about the past. Those who had the pleasure of his company knew him to be a math wizard, effortlessly solving problems and sharing his enthusiasm for numbers.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen; his son, Donald Lizotte, and fiancée Kellie; his granddaughter, Calyandra D. Lizotte; his grandson, Nick Chaney; and his siblings, Richard, Timothy, and Rebecca Lizotte. He also leaves behind his best friend, Gary Goldman, and many nieces and nephews. His legacy continues through the love of his family, who will carry forward the lessons and values he imparted.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry A. Lizotte; his mother, Helen M. (Underwood) Lizotte; his daughter, Helen M. Lizotte; and his son, Daniel J. Lizotte, Jr. He was also predeceased by his brothers John, Mark, Harry "Skip," Thomas, David, Michael, Francis, and Alan Lizotte, as well as his sisters Donna May Castonguay and Cynthia Patenaude.

Danny's profound love for family and friends, combined with his many passions, created a vibrant tapestry of life that those around him were fortunate to experience. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for his kindness, intelligence, and the joy he brought to others.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate nurses and doctors of 7 ICU and 3 East at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Their kindness, dedication, and exceptional care provided comfort to Danny and his family during his final days, and their support will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life for Danny will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from  1-4 P.M.  at Emanual Lutheran Church Hall.  All are  welcome to join us.  See details below.
