Darryl S. Massey

Darryl S. Massey, 60 of Worcester passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 6, 2020 from injuries suffered in an accident in his home on December 5^th. 

Darryl was born on June 17, 1960, one of five children of Richard and Beverly (Patterson) Massey.  He graduated from Oxford High school worked as an accountant for most of his life.   

Darryl is survived by two sisters, Robin Groh of Worcester, Jennifer Kimball, and her husband George of Waltham; a brother, Richard Massey, and his wife Eleanor of Florida; Nieces, nephews, and extended family members.   In addition to his parents, a brother Jeffery Massey passed away in 2016, and Brother-in-law Stephen also predeceased him. 

Darryl loved animals, he had numerous pets notably dogs growing up and  later in life and received much joy having them by his side.  He also enjoyed collecting antiques. 

A period of calling hours will be held Friday, December 11^th from 9:30 am to 10:15 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. before proceeding in  procession to Our Lady of the Angel’s church, 1222 Main St where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.      In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to The American Lung Association of the Northeast, 1661 Worcester Rd #301, Framingham, MA 01701
