David M. Amato, 62 of Paxton, formerly of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
A devoted family man, David will be remembered for his strength, humor, and undying love for humanity, nature, and especially his rescue dogs; Freddie, Bette Lou, Jake, Dakota, his cat Rocky, and his beloved dogs that predeceased him; Lucy-Bella, Charlie, Henry, Harvey, and Lucy. Through his quiet compassion, David brought hope, dignity and love to everyone whose lives he touched.
David was born in Worcester, a son of the late Michael E. and Maria A. (Mangiulli) Amato. He was a graduate from North High School and owner of The Graphics Connection Inc., an apparel printing company. David was an advisory board member at the Worcester Technical High School, had a passion for photography and enjoyed mentoring people in the business World. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Renata (Kollar) Amato; his brother, Anthony Amato and his wife Jane of Worcester; three brothers-in-law, Dr. Mark Davini of Boston, Joseph Fulginiti, Jr. of California and Patrik Tirda of Grafton; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues who loved him immensely. David is predeceased by two sisters, Rosemarie Fulginiti and Linda Davini.
Services for David will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Mass will be at 11:00 am in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial will be held privately. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 16th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home.
