David H. Depanian, 74 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at UMass Medical Center.
David was born in Worcester, a son of the late Henry N. and Mildred T. (Kelley) Depanian, Sr. He grew up in Worcester where he graduated from South High School in 1967 and has lived here all his life. David served his country and was wounded during the Vietnam War while enlisted in the United States Navy. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal for his dedicated service during time in the military. David worked as an electrical purchasing agent for Central Electric, Maki Electric and retired from Bratton Industries. In his spare time, David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many cruises with his beloved wife Sandra.
David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra J. (McFee) Depanian; two stepsons, Jason Capstick and his fiancéé Erin Gilmore of Worcester and Ryan Capstick and his wife Danielle of Holden; a brother, Michael Depanian and his wife Linda of Paxton; two sisters, Claire Winer and her husband David of North Carolina and Debra McClellan of Washington; two grandchildren, Alec Capstick and his wife Megan and Ashton Capstick; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers, Edward, and Henry N. Depanian, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 10-11 am with his funeral service immediately following at 11 am in First Presbyterian Church, 125 Holden St., Worcester, MA. 01604. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
