David Giannino, 67 a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, and retired town employee passed away unexpectedly Monday December 20th, 2021, after being stricken ill.

David was born in Worcester, the son of the late Angelo Giannino who passed away this past September and Virginia (Schiavone) Giannino. Raised in Shrewsbury, he graduated from Shrewsbury High School, and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute in Worcester. David then accepted a position with the Town of Shrewsbury in the water and sewer department for over 36 years retiring 4 years ago.

David is survived by his wife and soulmate, Carole D. (Veshi) Giannino; three children he loved deeply, and was so proud of,  Kerri M. Consigli and her husband Adam of Grafton, Nicholas M. Giannino and his wife Lauren of Worcester, Lynn M. Penta and her husband Jay of Watertown; a sister, Linda Forand and her husband Charles; four granddaughters, Ellen, Abigail, Victoria and Madison; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

David, a man, with a great presence, huge heart, bright smile, and enthusiastic sense of humor, was always there to lend a hand. Whether, fixing a piece of machinery, small engine or electronic item, in his garage for a friend, neighbor, or family member. He always had a sense of purpose and never said no. He loved his home on the Cape, fishing, clamming, picking mussels and just watching the ocean from the beach. He enjoyed watching college football, John Wayne World War  II, and western movies or researching history.
