David Sciammacco

August 25, 1968 — February 19, 2022

David Sciammacco, 53, of Worcester, MA passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 19, 2022.  He was the father of Miranda Sciammacco of Chelmsford, Tiana Sciammacco of Worcester, and Gabriella Barriere of North Carolina.  He leaves behind his loving parents, father Americo Sciammacco and his fiancée Michele Pignataro of Worcester and his mother Delores (Phillips) Audette of West Boylston; Sister Brenda Vanasse and her husband Al of West Boylston, his Granddaughters Mariska McKinney and Wynter McKinney of Chelmsford, his niece Jessica Paradise of Worcester, his nephew Jacob Paradise and his wife Angelica of Hudson.  His Aunt Grace Delrosso of Northborough, and Uncle Frank Sciammacco and his wife Ann Marie of Shrewsbury along with many cousins and friends.   In addition to his family and friends, he will be missed by his beloved cat, Frankie.

David was a talented Carpenter and made it his life’s work, he was a masterful craftsman.  His passion was guitar and he was the best shredding guitarists, performing in many Worcester venues over the years. He played with several bands notably Roxxi and Spitshine. He even made an MTV video in 1990 for a song entitled “Drive it to ya Hard.” He loved riding his dirt bike with friends and was a football enthusiast and he had a profound sense of humor. He also enjoyed drawing and when in high school was an ice hockey player.

David touched so many lives, his presence will truly be missed whether it was just him hanging out at his dads, or popping in to see his mom, attending a family gathering or barbeque, touching base with his daughters, being a proud grampa, helping a family member or friend.  And rocking it out on the guitar.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10 am-12 pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 24th in the funeral home at 12 pm, and interment will follow in St. John Cemetery & Mausoleum, 260 Cambridge St, Worcester.
