David Westerlind

David Westerlind, 70, of Millbury, MA, passed away August 3, 2023, at his residence. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Geraldine J. (Davis) Westerlind and proud father of David Westerlind, Jr. of Millbury; beloved brother of Gene Westerlind, of Millbury, Dennis Westerlind and his wife Marilyn of Plymouth, Linda Westerlind, of Worcester, Carol Bernardi of Worcester, and the late Robert Westerlind, Jr. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and his cousin, Rick Westerlind, who was more like a brother to him.

David was a lifelong Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, who was truly “born to ride”, often possessing multiple motorcycles at a time. When he wasn’t riding, David enjoyed a quiet life involving fishing, firearms and family. Family and friends were his priority above all, and he loved being in their company. David was known for his generosity and he found great joy in giving as well as always being available to those in need of assistance. David was a great father, brother, and friend, who will be missed by all.

Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, August 9, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA. David’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 10:00 am in the funeral home, followed by interment in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
