Deborah D. (Parent-Tuccio) Burke, 71, of Worcester, passed away in her sleep on Thursday, November 9, 2023, after a period of declining health.
Born in Worcester on August 7, 1952, Deborah was the daughter of the late Julien L. and Mary C. (Spencer) Parent. Deborah attended Sacred Heart Academy and lived in Worcester for most of her life. She loved to cook and serve the public, owning and operating several restaurants over the years, including the Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, Chicken and Ribs Express, and Fat Dickies BBQ.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Burke, two children, Julian Galindo and Andrew Tuccio, and his wife, Stephanie of Worcester; six grandchildren she cherished: Ashley Hanlon, Randall Lamoureux, Isabella Galindo, Abigail Tuccio, Emily Jones, and Andrew Tuccio, Jr.; a brother Wayne A. Parent; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Vernon G. and Bruce T. Parent, predeceased her.
Deborah loved antiques, Asian Culture, and watching old movies. She was the matriarch of her family, and nothing in life was more important than her children and grandchildren, they always made her the happiest. The holidays, special occasions, and any time they could be with her were special.
A period of calling hours will be held Monday, November 13th, from 10:30 am to 12 noon, followed by her funeral service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to The Jewish Healthcare Center, 646 Salisbury Street, Worcester 01609.
