Diane Sophia (Haddad) Moossa,78, a lifelong Worcester resident, peacefully passed into eternal life, at her home, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Waiting to welcome and embrace her in heaven are her parents Nemo and Lillian (Esper) Haddad and her husband of nearly fifty years, Anthony P. Moossa II.
She is survived by her two daughters Lauri A and her husband Michael Georges of Millbury and Kristin A Moossa of Worcester; two grandsons Anthony and Robert Moossa-Letourneau both of Worcester; and her newest pride and joy, great granddaughter Jaelyn Marie. She will also be deeply missed by her brother Ronald J Haddad and his partner Barbara Bucciaglia of Worcester, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
After graduating from Commerce High School and Salters, she worked for Norton Company for several years before leaving to raise her family. When her children grew, she returned to the workforce holding various positions with local businesses. Additionally, she spent several years volunteering at the University of Massachusetts. In 1990, Diane and Tony embarked on a new business venture. Together they owned and operated Hair in Motion Beauty Academy located on Grafton Hill in Worcester. Diane managed the financial operations and served as a certified financial aid director. Together they offered professional training to so many cosmetologists across Worcester County. In 2010 they sold their business to enjoy retirement.
Diane was a devoted Sitto and Sitti. She always had a smile when she could be with her family.
Active in her parish, she assisted with BINGO and worked many picnics and events. Diane’s favorite place to relax was sitting on the porch overlooking the ocean, reading a good book. She loved playing cards and traveling New England, especially Rhode Island and Connecticut.
Her family will miss her laughter and famous holiday pies.
A period of calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 3rd from 10 am to 11 am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help church, 256 Hamilton Street followed by her service at 11 am. Burial next to Anthony will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help church, 256 Hamilton St. Worcester. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & cHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
