Dolores A. (Astrella) Rossetti, 91, of Shrewsbury, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, on what would have been the 70’th anniversary of marriage to her beloved late husband, John J. “Jack” Rossetti. After almost five years, Delores and Jack have been reunited.
Dolores is survived by her loving children, John J. Rossetti, Jr. and his wife Sydney of Jacksonville, FL, Josephine Siemaszko and her husband Robert of Worcester, and James Rossetti of Worcester. She was cherished by four grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Siemaszko and his wife Erica, the late Robert “Bobby” Siemaszko and his wife Jennifer, Julia Caez and her husband Elijah, Max Rossetti, and Lily Rossetti; five great- grandchildren, Madden, Audrey, MJ, Jake, and Celio; nine siblings, Frank, Andrew, Rocco, James, and Nicholas Astrella, Anne Ducharme, Phyllis Vacca, Victoria Gonya, and Josephine Evangelista; many nieces and nephews. Dolores was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, James and Josephine (Vinzi) Astrella.
Dolores was a long-time hairdresser. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury. She and Jack were avid golfers and enjoyed their membership at Pleasant Valley Country Club. They also enjoyed dancing at the Frohsinn Club and wintering at their home in Boynton Beach, Florida.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Oasis in Worcester for their wonderful care.
Calling Hours will be on Friday morning, August 4, from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a procession that will depart the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Entombment will follow at Saint John’s Mausoleum.
