Domenic P. DiSilvestri

Domenic P. DiSilvestri, 91 of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Heywood Hospital, Gardner with his beloved family by his side.

Domenic was born in Worcester, a son of the late Felice “Felix” and Caroline (Ricciardi) DiSilvestro. He lived in Worcester all his life where he worked as a firefighter for the City of Worcester Fire Department, mainly at Greendale Station on Engine 11 and Ladder 6 before he retired in 1994 and as a custodian at WPI for many years. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Domenic was a devoted family man who always put his loved one’s first. He loved music and was an avid drummer.

Domenic’s family would like to thank the staff at Alliance Health at Baldwinville for the outstanding care and compassion they gave him.

Domenic’s wife of 45 years, Josephine (Gallo) DiSilvestri passed away in 2000. He is survived by four children, Debbie Busold and her husband George of Texas, David DiSilvestri of Arizona, Diane Gannon and her partner Ken Ruskin of Worcester and Donna Lamalva and her partner Dana Deiner of Worcester; two sisters, Eleanor Wallace, Grace Mahoney of Worcester; and a sister-in-law Linda Bauman of Florida; five grandchildren, Keith and his wife Cassandra, Tony, Ashley, Madelyn and her fiancé Adrienne and Joseph; two step-grandchildren, Ted and Leisl; one great grandchild, Benjamin; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Domenic is predeceased by a brother, Joseph DiSilvestri; four sisters, Antoinette Zoppo and her husband Philip, Anna Vecchio and her husband John, Rose Auger and her husband Dick and Michelina Sarkasian; two brothers-in-law, Harold Wallace and Butch Mahoney.
