Domenic A. Migliacci Jr., 71, of Douglas, a devoted husband and father, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, after a series of health challenges.
Domenic was born in Milford, the son of the late Domenic A. Migliacci, Sr., and Jeanne (Barto) Migliacci. Raised in Milford, Dom graduated from Saint Mary's High School and attended Berklee School of Music in Boston. Dom then began a career at the Telegram and Gazette, first with the Circulation Department, then in the Advertising Department as the Senior Sales Representative before retiring after 35 years. After meeting Lisa DiPilato at a company function, the two married in 1981 and began a life devoted to each other. Their journey began in Worcester until they eventually settled down in Douglas to raise their family.
Domenic is survived by the love of his life, Lisa; his three children, Todd M. Migliacci and his wife Jessica Gove of New Bedford, Lauren M. Migliacci-McCree and her husband Sid of Waltham, and Brad M. Migliacci of Newburyport; aunts and uncle, Frances Smith, John and Roberta Migliacci; nieces, nephews, and friends including his best friend, Edgar “Ed” Muntz.
Domenic was a member of St. Denis Church in Douglas. An accomplished pianist, Domenic loved jazz music, playing the piano and electronic organ. His Italian heritage shined through his love of entertaining as you could always find him in the kitchen making Italian food for family and friends. A lover of the beach and the New England coastline, his family's greatest memories were made while vacationing in Newport, Warwick, and Jamestown, Rhode Island.
Calling hours for Domenic will be held Monday, October 23rd from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street Worcester, MA. His funeral will be held Tuesday, October 24th from the funeral home with a procession to St John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, where his celebration of Christian life mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery
