Dona R. (Christie) Kirkorian, 74 of Rochdale, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Dona was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Smith) Christie. She grew up in Worcester where she received her GED and later earned her nursing degree from Quinsigamond Community College. She worked as a registered nurse at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation for many years before she retired. Dona previously worked for AdCare in Worcester. She absolutely loved her career in nursing and loved to take care of the patients that were entrusted to her. She was formerly a member of First Assembly of God in Worcester where she loved to cook for the 59ers, sang in the choir and loved to be apart of the Adult Activities Committee. She was an amazing cook and baker and loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She also loved to talk about her faith in Jesus Christ to those that would listen, as well as being kind to the people she met while she was out and about.
Dona is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, George J. Kirkorian, Jr.; a daughter, Christie Richardson and her husband Desmond of Rochdale with whom she lived with; three beloved grandchildren, Darius, Jewelisa and Deron Richardson; two sisters, Gail Scoggin and Dorothy Womer both of Texas; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 8:30-10:00 am immediately followed by her funeral service at 10:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Adcare Hospital in Worcester.
