Donald D Henderson

Our Dear Lord, with his amazing grace has called Donald Henderson, The beloved brother of Sharon Henderson home to rest. Donald passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at UMass Medical Center. Born in Asheville, North Carolina on March 16, 1955, to the late Frank Henderson and Carrie M. Muckelvene-Henderson, he grew up in Asheville and more recently resided in Westborough, Ma where he lived with his sweet sister Sharon and her husband, Robert T. Jones.

Donald was a professional cabinet maker and worked for Monty Cabinets of Hudson, Ma and

D & D cabinets of Hopkinton, Ma. for many years till his retirement due to illness. He enjoyed fishing, watching, professional golf on TV and visiting his fabulous grandchildren. Though a quiet man, Donald had a special gift of making people laugh. He was a very funny guy who often had friends and family rolling with laughter. Donald Henderson will be greatly missed by family and friends, and especially his loving sister Sharon, who was his generous care-giver.  

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister and brother. Surviving are his son Marcus Weston, of Asheville; grandchildren Kaydance, Stephen, Payton and Tiarra Weston; brother Jerry Muckelvene of Tacoma Washington, sister Sharon Henderson-Jones and husband Robert T. Jones of Westborough, Ma. Nephews Reshod and Rachman Henderson of Asheville; Niece Sonya Lassiter of Raleigh, N.C. and many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 6-7pm at Covenant – Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, 24 Hamilton Street, Worcester, Ma.  The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist with arrangements.
