Donald C. O’Callaghan, 79, of Worcester, MA passed away April 2, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Elaine (Collaro) O’Callaghan, who predeceased him in 2012. He leaves his daughters Toni O’Callaghan-Culbert (John) and Sandra Manning (Leroy), and he was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey O’Callaghan in 2003. Donald was the loving grandfather of Joseph and Anthony Latuga, Daniel and Jacob O’Callaghan-Culbert, and great grandfather to Charlotte Latuga. He also leaves three sisters: Kathy Shalinski, Carol Levins, and Nancy O’Callaghan and was predeceased by a brother, Francis O’Callaghan in 1970. Donald’s loving companion Carol Bradway and their dog Toby also survive, along with many nieces and nephews.
Donald was employed by General Motors in Framingham for over 30 years and was also the owner of Yellow Cab Numbers 6 and 108 for over 20 years. He was a jack of all trades and was a huge Nascar fan and car enthusiast. He enjoyed RVing on Cape Cod and wintering in FL with Carol. Most importantly, Donald was a true family man.
Friends may call on the family on Thursday, April 7, from 9-11 AM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM following the visiting hours, and burial will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, 162 Webster St, Worcester.
