Donald R Peterson, Jr.

Donald R. Peterson, Jr., 63 of Newburgh, NY formerly of Worcester passed away July 4^th, 2022, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident, while on his way home from one of his "Happy Places", a peaceful spot to contemplate and obtain the magnificent views and tranquility of the Hudson Valley. 

Donald was born in Worcester, the son of Donald R. Peterson, Sr, and S. Molly (Levine) Peterson. He graduated from North High School, attended both Becker Junior and Quinsigamond Community College before earning his associates degree. Donald then worked for Saint Gobain Corporation before realizing his goal to retire at the age of 55. Donnie then moved to Newburgh, NY where he found peace and beautiful views.

Donnie was so special and funny. He had the largest personality, when he went anywhere, able to make instant friends and the ability to talk about anything with anybody. Donnie had a passion for Volleyball with an amazing community of friends and involvement. He loved them all  including his special friends Christina Ubel and her husband Jason.  She was his best sister like friend, and they were always by his side. He loved motorcycles, owning four and always enjoying a peaceful ride on a sunny day.

Donnie is survived by his sister Gayle Beshai and her husband Frank; his beloved nephews, Zack Beshai, Micah Beshai, and his wife Michelle; a great niece, Haven; extended family and friends including, Felix and Kristina Rosa and their children Devon, Gabe, and Alexi.

Friends are invited to calling hours Sunday, August 7^th from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester, MA.   His funeral service will follow at 4 pm and can be viewed live for those unable to attend at www.mercadantefuneral.com /live services.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Straight-ahead ministries, 791 Main St. Worcester 01610.

Donnie, we love you so much and totally believe you are rejoicing with Jesus and your parents.
