In the warm embrace of his family and friends, Edmond “Pepe”, “Chef” A. Jette Sr. peacefully passed away at the age of 84 on Tuesday, December 19th. Surrounded by love, he leaves behind a legacy of 63 years of marriage to his beloved wife Patricia "Pat" (Ryan) Jette. Together, they created a beautiful family that includes four children: Edmond Jette Jr. and his wife Sheila of West Dennis, Sandra Kirwan and her husband Kevin of Holden, Daniel Jette and his wife Kim of Delaware, and Matthew Jette and his wife Amy of Sturbridge. Ed is also survived by eleven loving grandchildren and six precious great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A proud graduate of Assumption Prep High School, Ed pursued his passion for culinary arts at the renowned Culinary Institute of America. As the owner and operator of the Yankee Whaler restaurant in Worcester and the head Chef at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton for eighteen years, Ed's culinary skills left an indelible mark on the community.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ed's life was a tapestry woven with love and shared moments. Over six decades of marriage, he and Pat embarked on countless adventures, relishing family trips, and creating cherished memories. Ed's warm, infectious, and endearing smile became a hallmark of family gatherings, where he delighted in cooking for loved ones, catering weddings, hosting lively pool parties, and New Year’s Day reunions. Whether the guest list numbered 5 or 500, Chef was the one everyone turned to for culinary magic.
In the winter months, Ed and Pat would migrate to Fort Myers for 16 years, where he not only enjoyed the camaraderie at the Legend’s Golf and Country Club but also secured victory in the 2020 Men’s President Cup. A true sports enthusiast, he reveled in watching New England sports teams and, ever the social butterfly, engaged in friendly card games with friends and family.
Ed's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and culinary expertise will endure. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us celebrate the magnificence of a life well-lived and the enduring impact of Ed, Dad, Pepe, Chef Jette.
