Edward R. Halfrey, 65 of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at UMass Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Edward was born in Worcester, a son of the late Harry E. and Marilyn T. (Boyd) Halfrey, Jr. He was a graduate of Burncoat High School. Edward worked as a clerk in the records department at UMass Memorial Community Healthlink.
Edward is survived by two sisters, Ann Marie Lloyd and her husband, Mark, of Lynchburg, Va. and Deborah J. Halfrey of West Bridgewater, Mass.; nieces and nephews: Amanda Cuschera and Kayla McAuliffe both of West Bridgewater, Mass., Joshua Lloyd and his wife, Lauren, of Columbus, Ga., Katherine Young and her husband, Eric, and Thomas Lloyd and his wife, Alison, all of Lynchburg, Va.; great nieces and nephews: Chase and Spencer Cuschera, Jacob Lloyd, Zachary and Isaac De la Fuente, Hannah, Rachel, and Andrew Young, and Gregori Lloyd; three aunts, Geraldine Langille, Helen Debasitis and Janice Halfrey all of Massachusetts; his best friend, Raymond Larocque; and many cousins and other relatives. Along with his parents, he is preceded in by his brother, James G. Halfrey and his stepmother, Laurene Locke Halfrey.
Services for Edward will be held privately at a later date.
