Shrewsbury- Eugene Marc Albrizio, 94, passed away on February 5, 2025. Eugene leaves his beloved wife of 75 years (70 years married) RoseMary (Melucci) Albrizio. Eugene is predeceased by his son, Steven Joseph Albrizio, married to Donna of Connecticut. He leaves two children Joel Marc Albrizio, wife Jennifer of Florida, and his daughter Susan Plante and Rob of Rhode Island. He was the proud Papa to 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father Michael Albrizio, mother Lola (Di Disso) Albrizio, two sisters, Ann Bianco and Mary Trippi, and two brothers Joseph Albrizio and Americo Albrizio.
Eugene attended Commerce High School and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, earning a Bachelor of Arts. He was professionally employed in the Boston area before working at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette art department for almost twenty-five years. In 1980, he left to establish Albrizio Advertising until his retirement.
Eugene and his wife enjoyed many ocean cruises in the Caribbean and from the West Coast. They enjoyed traveling to many places including Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, England, and many other U.S. states & European countries. Eugene was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying a Cessna 172 as a member of the Worcester Airport flying club. In later years, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family most of all.
The world lost a lot of sparkle on February 5th when Eugene left us but we know there are many things he’d want us to remember - keep dancing for as long as you can, keep laughing, and always greet the ones we love with a warm “Hiya Sweetheart”, “Hi Honey” or “Hi Button Nose”. He had a way of making life lighter. With a mischievous wink of his hazel eyes, he would turn any moment into a celebration. He would suddenly break into dance – no music required – or sing “Let a woman in your life” (My Fair Lady) reminding us not to take things too seriously. He saw the world through his easygoing ways, living by the words, “Que Sera, Sera” – Whatever will be, will be. His love for his wife (“My Little Rosemary”), his home and his family were unmatched. And when he was younger, his spirit would soar with weekend flights with his family to Cape Cod and Vermont.
Eugene’s children and grandchildren were blessed to grow up with his wisdom, his humor, his unwavering love. Through every joke, song and gentle piece of advice he shaped us into who we are today. His legacy isn’t just in the stories we’ll tell, but in the way we choose to live full of laughter, love and an impromptu song and dance. He built a life, a home and a family with love and quiet strength, always leading by example. We are heartbroken without him and will always miss him deeply, but we know he’s still with us winking from above, humming a tune and reminding us to enjoy every minute of life. Fly high Papa. And when it’s our time to pass, we know you’ll greet us with a “Hiya Sweetheart”.
