Eva Selzo

Eva (Soter) Selzo, 97, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Her husband, Joseph Robert Selzo, predeceased her in May 2000, after 47 wonderful years of marriage.

Eva is survived by her son, Robert M. Selzo and his wife Lisa Albano-Selzo of Worcester; two daughters, Susan E. Selzo and her husband Mark Pfeil of Phoenix, AZ, and Nancy Dalton of Worcester; a granddaughter, Sara Dalton of Worcester; a sister, Penelope Gleason and her husband John of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews.  

Eva was one of eight children born to Chris M. and Catherine (Lampride) Soter and has lived in Worcester all her life. 

Eva worked for over forty years at Quinsigamond Community College. She began as a Switchboard Operator and later became an Administrative Assistant. She previously worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph before raising her three children.

Eva enjoyed the outdoors. She especially loved the beach, often vacationing at Cape Cod and Hampton Beach with her family. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden, baking and traveling. 

Eva was an amazing wife and mother who always put her family first. She was beloved by all who knew her.

Her Funeral will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family has entrusted Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel with the arrangements.
