Faye (Walsh) Cozzolino

Faye A. (Walsh) Cozzolino, 90, a lifelong resident of Worcester, and Lake Worth, Florida passed away surrounded by the family she loved Monday, November 4th 2024.

Faye was born in Worcester, the daughter of Nelson and Alice (Price) Walsh. She graduated from Commerce High school class of 1952, met and married the “Love of her life” Louis J. Cozzolino, Jr. on June 19, 1954. They settled in the lower Grafton Street neighborhood to raise their family with faith, love and family, until Lou passed away in 2020. Faye worked in the healthcare field , first as a health assistant at City Hospital, then the University of Massachusetts Medical before retiring in 1999 after 30 years. 

Faye is survived by her four devoted children, Cheryl M Courtney and her husband James of Onset, Lu-Ann Hennessy and her husband Dennis of Cherry Valley, Michael L. Cozzolino and his wife Lisa of Millbury, Mark F. “Cuzzy” Cozzolino and his wife Tracy of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. In addition to her husband Lou and parents, Faye joins in heaven a brother Ronald P. Walsh who died in 1996.

Faye was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, and its Women’s Guild. She loved to Winter in Florida, the trips to the Casino, horse racing and the beach. Whenever Faye went out she was impeccably dressed and made up. A woman with a kind personality, huge heart, and bright smile, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and had her greatest moments with her family around her during the holidays, special occasions and family dinners. 

A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, November 7th 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, followed by a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where her Mass of Christian burial celebration will be held at 11:30 am. Entombment next to Lou will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Activities fund, care of the Benchmark at Shrewsbury Crossing, 311 Main St Shrewsbury or the Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation St Worcester.
