Felix C. Palermo

January 12, 1930 — December 15, 2020

Felix C. Palermo, 90 of Worcester passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Felix was born in Worcester, the son of the late Anthony and Lucy (Izzy) Palermo.  He lived there all his life mostly on Prospect Street with the close friendship of his neighbors The DiPadua Family and Duke and Jean Nuzzetti.  He was a hard worker in the construction field most of his career where he worked for Virgilio Construction for 25 years retiring in 1992.  Felix was a very active and independent person who loved going to Wells, Maine and the racetrack.  He also so much loved and enjoyed cheering for his grandsons at all their sports events.  Felix was extremely generous, helped everyone and was loved so much by his family and friends.

Felix’s wife of over 40 years, Irene (Sullivan) Palermo passed away in 2003.  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Patricia Palermo of Worcester; his two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Palermo of Worcester; his brother-in-law, Louis DiVirgilio of Sutton; nieces and nephews including Lucy Lukason and her husband Richard of Sutton.  He is predeceased by his sister, Mary DiVirgilio.

Due to the current health regulations, service for Felix will held privately and at a later date.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
