Florence M (Lopriore) Lorusso

Florence M. (Lopriore) Lorusso,97, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Tuesday April 24, 2018 in the Rose Monahan Residence surrounded by her loving family. Her Husband Anthony T. Lorusso died in 1980. Florence is survived by her devoted family, a daughter Patricia A. Porcaro and her husband James, three sons, Paul A. Lorusso and his wife Carol, Anthony T. Lorusso Jr. and his partner Steven J. Carlson, and Ronald W. Lorusso and his wife Donna. Florence also leaves her grandchildren James A. Porcaro Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Christopher M. Porcaro and his wife Jennifer, Ronald Lorusso Jr, Kaitlyn Lorusso, Christopher Michalowski, and his wife Kim, Robert Michalowski and Anthony McGeorge and his wife Jessica. Florence was the proud great grandmother to Enzo, Giana, Gabriella, Makayla, Makenzie, Mariah, Lena, Luca, Kendra, and Eric. Florence also leaves her great great grandson Anthony . She also is survived by a brother John Lopriore and two sisters Gloria Trudel and her husband Thomas, and Nora Mackowicki and her husband Chester, and many nephews and nieces. Florence was predeceased by a grandson Adam Lorusso, and several siblings.

Florence was born in Worcester daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Pescara) Lopriore and has lived in Shrewsbury most of her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Florence worked in the Housekeeping Services at the Worcester County Hospital in Boylston for many years before she retired. Florence was a long time member of the Church of St Anne and it’s Women Guild. She enjoyed doing crochet, playing cards with her family and enjoyed a good bingo game! She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Florence’s funeral will be held on Monday April 30 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in ST ANNES CHURCH 130 BOSTON TURNPIKE Shrewsbury. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:AM UNTIL 10:30AM in the funeral home before leaving for church. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
