Frances Marie Koliss

Frances (Ciccarelli) Koliss, 81, of Millbury passed away peacefully Thursday, February 9^th, 2023. 

Fran was born and raised in Worcester, one of two daughters of Guy and Genevieve (Sieniuc) Ciccarelli. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Worcester State College, and had her first teaching job in West Boylston. She married John H. Koliss Sr. and the couple moved to Millbury where they raised their three children.

Fran loved people and sales. She had a successful career with Beeline Fashions, an in-home party company for women’s clothing.  She became a district manager with the organization, winning many trips that afforded wonderful travel for her and her husband with their Beeline friends.

After her husband passed, Fran went to work at WCIS as a mortgage broker. This, essentially, led to her long and successful career as a Realtor™.  Fran was a real estate agent at a few companies before forging the idea for and being the co-founder of Paramount Realty Group with her daughter, Kris.  She was a consummate professional and cared for each of her clients.

For many years, Fran was an active member of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, and The Beacon of Hope in Leominster; serving on both boards and volunteering for committees and events. She was also a dedicated parishioner of St. Brigid Church in Millbury.

Fran’s greatest love was her family. She always wanted good for her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. She delighted in their successes and happiness. Cooking for her family at her home was one of her favorite times. 

She is survived by her three children, John H. Koliss Jr. and his wife, Karee, of Paxton; Kathryn Davis and her husband, Wes, of Andover; Kristin Koliss and her longtime partner, Eric Brooks of Grafton; four grandchildren, Jacob Koliss and his wife, Ashley; Jordan Koliss, Isabella Davis, Liliana Davis and her great grandson, Jax Koliss. She is predeceased by her husband, John H. Koliss Sr., and her sister, Sr. Loretta Ciccarelli. 

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Thursday, February 16^th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Friday, February 17^th at St. Brigid Church, 59 N Main St., Millbury where her Celebration of Christian Life Mass will be held at 10:30am. All guests are asked to go directly to the church.  Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery will follow. The family request that flowers be omitted and memorial remembrances in Fran’s name be made to The Beacon of Hope, 62 West St., Leominster MA 01543.
