Francis "Frank" Pignataro

Francis J. “Frank” Pignataro, 63 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 30th after being stricken ill while driving. 

Frank was born and raised in Worcester, the son of John C. and Nina (Caligiuri) Pignataro.  He graduated from Burncoat High School class of 1973 and has lived in the same home he grew up in ever since.  Immediately after high school, Frank accepted a position with the David Clark Company in Worcester where he spent the next 43 years.  He was still employed at the time of his death.

Frank a quiet, unassuming man, is survived by his mother Nina Pignataro whom he cared for in their home; a sister, Maria C. Pignataro; a brother Anthony S. “Ragu” Pignataro and his wife Gale all of Worcester; a niece, Tiana; nephew Skyler; and great niece, Isabella Rose; Many other extended family members and a host of friends.   Besides his father, a sister Anna D. Pignataro passed away in 2006.

Frank was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  He enjoyed fishing, music (notably the Beatles), cooking, working in his garden, the company of his friends at his summer cookouts, and helping people.   He took great pride in caring for his mother in their home.  As her health declined, Frank lovingly devoted more time.  She was never a burden.   At David Clark where he served in many different positions and departments over the 40 plus years, was loved by all his co-workers and watched over by his bosses.   He will be greatly missed. 

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, June 3^rd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  His funeral will be held Monday, June 4^th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Rd. where his celebration of life mass will be held at 10:00 am.   Burial with his sister will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
