Francis J. Waszkiewicz

Francis J. Waszkiewicz, 81 of Worcester, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday, February 25, 2024 with his family by his side.

Francis was born in Watertown, Ma, a son of the late Frank S. and Sabina M. (Dembski) Waszkiewicz.   He graduated from South High School and later received a certification from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.   Francis worked as a sales representative for Metal Goods of Marlboro for many years before he retired.  He enjoyed vacationing at his summer home in Wells, ME., fishing especially deep sea, listening to The Blues, and watching his grandson play baseball.

Francis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary (Samuelson) Waszkiewicz; a daughter, Lisa A. Allain and her husband Brian of Charlton; a son, Jason P. Waszkiewicz of Worcester; two brothers, Paul J. and Donald P. Waszkiewicz both of Florida; a grandson, Colin F. Allain; 3 brothers-in-law, Dana F. Samuelson and his wife Sharon of Sterling, Mark E. Samuelson and his wife Esther of Florida and Phillip W. Samuelson and his wife Marie of South Carolina, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00 am -2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Burial will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O.
