Francis A. Zecco, Sr.

Francis A. Zecco, Sr., 84, of Holden, passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday, November 18, 2024. 

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly sixty-two years, Geraldine A. (Starkus) Zecco; a son, Francis A. Zecco, Jr. and his wife Linda of Auburn; a dear friend who was more like a daughter, Lucy Panagoulopoulos and her husband Basil and their children, who were like grandchildren, Adriana, Gabriella, and Georgina; nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by a son, Kevin J. Zecco in 1996 as by a sister, Joan Pedone. Francis was born in Worcester, son of the late, Francis G. and Alexina A. (Auger) Zecco. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and attended Northeastern University.

Francis worked for forty-one years as an electrician with the IBEW local 96, before retiring in 2002. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, he enjoyed camping, wood working, hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking with his wife Geraldine. Francis and Geraldine enjoyed many wonderful trips throughout the years, travelling the country in their motor home and exploring the different corners of the United States.

There are no Calling Hours.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. (please go directly to church) Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
