Frank A. DiNoia, Sr. 82 a lifelong Worcester resident and business owner, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Friday, October 21st, 2022.
Frank was born in Worcester, the son of Italian immigrants Leonardo and Isabella (Sciascia) DiNoia. He grew up in the Lakeview neighborhood of Worcester, graduated from North High school and Wentworth Institute. Frank then joined the family construction business with his brothers, Leo DiNoia & Sons, Inc. Along with his brothers, they continued to build upon what their father started for many years before retiring. They constructed many structures, walls, and buildings in Worcester and the surrounding area. Frank also for a time served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Frank is survived by The “Love of his life” for over 51 years, Darlene (Gambaccini) DiNoia; three children he cherished, Eliza DiNoia, Todd DiNoia and his wife Jen, Frank DiNoia, Jr. and his wife Nicole; a brother, Stephen DiNoia, five grandchildren, Julia, Lena, Gianina, Dante and Dominic; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two brothers, Anthony and Lawrence, and two sisters, Grace Jennings and Ann DiNoia predeceased him.
Frank very much a family man, cherished every moment he could spend with his family. His greatest moments were those with his five grandchildren, whether attending the children’s activities or having them around him at home. Frank was also a generous man with a huge heart, bright smile, and pristine yard. His yard was always neat, colorful, and clean.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, October 27th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Friday, October 28th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston, where his Mass will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in his name can be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306el
