Frank B. Iaconi, 75, of Worcester, a dedicated husband, father and devoted grandfather passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with his family gathered at his side.
Frank was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Salvatore “Sully” and Adeline (Corio) Iaconi. He served for a time in the U.S. Army reserve and has lived here all his life. In August of 1964, Frank married Carol A. Fenuccio, and lived happily as one, devoted to each other, family and friends for the next 54 years.
Frank loved to cook and began his career working at such places like the Jefferson House in Holden, and Indian Meadows Country Club in Westborough, before accepting a position with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an auditor for the State Insurance Commission over the next 20 years before retiring.
He is survived by the “Love of His Life” Carol; his son, Frank Iaconi and his wife Nancy; the pride of his life and inspiration, Salvatore “Sal” Iaconi his grandson; Extended family members and a host of friends. Besides his parents, his sister, Maryann Young pre deceased him.
Frank was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish. He loved antique and stylish cars, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and especially his grandson Sal. Nothing was more important in Frank’s life than his family and Sal. Mornings were also special for Frank when he got to meet with his friends for breakfast and coffee.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Friday June 15th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Saturday, June 16th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Rd where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St John’s Cemetery.
