Frank Paul Inangelo, Sr., CEC, AAC, 90, passed away on May 15, 2024, peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by all who loved him. Born on April 13, 1934, in Worcester, MA to the late Joseph and Julia (Francesco) Inangelo and grew up in the Worcester/Westborough area.
Frank graduated from Commerce High School then attended Fitchburg State and Northeastern University for Culinary Arts. Frank served in the U.S. Navy for two years as a cook on the USS Purvis DD709. He was an Executive Chef at Foster Grant in Leominster, MA for 20 years and worked in various restaurants and Country Clubs in the surrounding area. He was also known for and won many awards for his exceptional performance doing Ice Carvings for thirty years.
Frank was an avid Yankee Fan. He also spent many years bowling in leagues at Bowlero/Town and Country Bowling in Shrewsbury. At a young age, he learned to play the accordion and developed his lifelong appreciation of music. He loved the Italian classics, Mario Lanza, and songs by Frank Sinatra. He enjoyed going to the theater for almost all “The Metropolitan Opera HD” productions. His hobbies were gardening, woodworking and bird watching. He volunteered with the Hudson Senior Center “Meals-on-Wheels” program. Family was most important to Frank, and he loved sharing his culinary skills in the kitchen, especially during holidays and gatherings. He also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like meeting friends for a daily coffee at Dunkin’ or trying his luck on scratch tickets and playing bingo.
Frank was a Lifetime Member of the American Culinary Federation, a Past President of Mass Culinary Association 1982-1984, and was awarded “Chef-of-the-Year” in 1982. Frank was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs in 1984 and was an active member in “Les Amis E’scoffier Society.”
Frank is survived by his companion of over 33 years, Marylin Queen and her children, Lauryn Eldon, Clifford Spiegel, Roberta LaMarche, and Erica Spiegel; a brother, John Inangelo of Rutland; a sister, Alberta “Birdie” Inangelo of Leicester; Frank’s children in the Worcester area, daughters, Elena Inangelo and Carissa Soucie and son, Frank Inangelo, Jr., and his wife Mara and their two children. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his first daughter, Maria in 1966, a brother, Robert Inangelo in 2018, and two sisters-in-law, Patricia (Veins) Inangelo in 2016 and Margaret (Martocci) Inangelo in 2023.
The family would like to thank the entire Staff at Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston and the Staff at St. Vincent Hospital and the ICU Unit in Worcester for the very special care they gave to Frank.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, May 20th from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 21st at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
