Gail Lee Alexander

Gail Lee “Alex” Alexander, 79, of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born October 3, 1945, in San Antonio, TX to the late, Thomas and Cleo (Sherman) Alexander. Alex was an incredible man, with a strong faith in God and believed everyone deserved to be treated equally. A proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served for 17 years as a pharmaceutical technician. Alex was also a member of Lake View UCC and was a Mason back home in Texas. 

Alex is survived by his loving husband, William Ackerly “Billy”; his son, David Alexander of Kansas City, MO; his two cats, Sweetie and Dixie; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and all that loved him. Sadly, in addition to his parents, Alex was predeceased by his brothers, Cary and Jerry Alexander.

Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel are honored to assist the family with arrangements. Interment will be held in the spring at Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne.
