George J. Balcewicz II, 69, of Jackson, TN. formerly of Worcester, died unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident on Friday August 31, 2018 in Sequatchie County, TN. George is survived by his wife Judith and their four children, George J. Balcewicz lll , Jacqueline C. Balcewicz- Sundol, Barbra Ann and Amanda Rose Balcewicz, and a grandson Jacob. George also leaves his sister Angela O’Connor and her husband Robert, and his brother Stanley J. Balcewicz, and a nephew Shaun Michael O’Connor, all of Millbury and several relatives in the Worcester area.
George was born in Worcester son of the late George J. Balcewicz I and Rose (Protano) Balcewicz and lived here many years. At an early age George attained the highest Honor of Eagle from the Boy Scouts troop #153 of Shrewsbury. He was a graduate of the class of 1967 of Doherty High School, and the Worcester Industrial Technical School in Worcester. He also attended Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. George worked at the Riley Stoker Company for several years before he moved to Detroit Michigan where he worked at the Ford Motor Company as a Master Electrician until he retired.
George and Judy loved to be outdoors and enjoyed traveling especially in their Motor coach as they traveled all around the Country. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding his bike. George was most happy when he was with his family, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Mass for George will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 37 Massasoit Rd. Worcester, at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
