George R. “Dickie” LeBeau, 76 of Dudley, passed away peacefully and was reunited with his wife Kathleen on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
George was born in Worcester, a son of the late Bunetta (Chirchigho) Dionne and George Castle. He worked as a machinist for Lindquist Tool for many years before he retired. George as worked for various other companies including Polar Beverages. He loved going yard sales, bird watching, gardening, fishing, watching sports especially the New England Patriots. George was well known for his Civil War reenactments as well as being a master on the grill at family cookouts. His family was the most important to him especially his grandchildren and when they would all gather for the annual family vacation to Hampton Beach.
George’s wife of 50 years, Kathleen Ann (Desourdi) LeBeau passed away three months ago on February 13, 2022. He is survived by his son, George LeBeau, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Holland, MA; two daughters, Charlene LeBeau of Webster and Elizabeth LeBeau of Dudley; eight grandchildren, Cheryl and Randy LeBeau both of Webster, Anthony LeBeau and his fiancé Jocelyn Lewie of Dudley, Steven Carrico of Methuen, Janessa Gingras, Jade Holmes, Vincent and Logan LeBeau all of Holland; two brothers, Frank “Butch” LeBeau and John LeBeau; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a grandson, Mark Carrico who sadly passed away a day prior on May 21st. George is also predeceased by a brother, Julius “Sonny” LeBeau; three sisters, Marie Jordan, Beverly Maple and Barbara Carbonneau.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 1st from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to a charity that supports cancer.
