Georgia A. Gage

Georgia A. (Troy) Gage, 75 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Christopher House surrounded by her loving family.

Georgia was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late George and Rita (Gilbert) Troy where she attended Worcester Schools.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for VNA Care of Worcester for over 20 years before she retired.  Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved bingo.

Georgia is survived by six children, Lisa Erti and her husband Rocco, Barbara Higgins and her husband Paul and Kristylee Collins and her husband Brandon and Stacey Kender all of Worcester, Suzanne Miller and her husband Scott of Oxford and Arthur Dusoe and his wife Kelley of Spencer; her brother, Edward Troy and his wife Jayne of Worcester; her best friend of 64 years, Joanne Pepper of Worcester; her beloved dog, “Max.” She also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A period of calling hours for Georgia will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 4-7 pm followed by her funeral service at 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association or American Breast Cancer Coalition.
